Should You Call for Concrete Foundation Repair?

Concrete foundation repair

Here is a startling statistic, 98% of homes that have a basement will experience some sort of water damage. There is a tremendous risk if you have a basement you will have water damage at some point. Concrete foundation repair combined with basement waterproofing can remove the risk.
Whether you have a brand new home or an older home, there are certain signs you should be aware of to indicate you need concrete foundation repair. Knowing what to look for can help you get the concrete foundation repairs that you need to prevent damage to your home.

What Happens That Makes Foundation Repairs Necessary?

Concrete is a strong durable material, but it is not impervious to the environment. Water, freezing temperatures, and unfortunately, sometimes poor craftsmanship can all cause cracks in your concrete foundation that allow water into your basement.

Ground settling and water pooling (from not having gutters) can also cause cracking. Your foundation is constantly under attack, and sometimes it just cannot hold up to the wear and tear.

When To Call in a Professional

It is important to know when to call in a professional to manage your concrete foundation repair. If you notice any of the following, it is time to call in a pro:
  • Water stains on your basement walls
  • Water seepage on your basement walls
  • Deep cracks or crumbling of your concrete foundation

Getting a concrete foundation repair when you notice any of the signs above is not something you want to put off. The right team can quickly provide the foundation repairs, identify the cause, and deliver basement waterproofing services to ensure your home is protected.

While there may be different causes for your cracked concrete foundation, there is one thing that is true of all cracks, they do not repair themselves. Putting off the repairs can mean more damage to your property and a higher repair bill. The sooner you address the problem the better.

A Leaky Basement is Not Par for the Course

A lot of people just accept their leaky basement as part of their lifestyle. The fact is you do not have to suffer from leaks and worry, you can get the repairs that will keep your basement nice and dry, and your foundation doing its job. Call today for the reliable concrete foundation repair, and basement waterproofing that protects your investment.

It was really helpful when you said a sign could be water stains on the walls in your basement. Last night when I was in my basement doing some laundry, I noticed how there were some stains on the walls from water, and I didn't know if that was a bad sign or not. I'll have to look into finding a company that can see if I need foundation repair for my home.

Concrete foundation cracks are the resut of chloride ion exchange in the moisture laden pores of the concrete. This process allows for the oxidization of the rebar. I’m so thankful for your helpful post!
